You are free to distribute the Complete Tutorial. The copyright notice above and this permission notice must be preserved complete on all complete or partial copies. Any translation or derivative work of Practical SeisX must be approved by the author in writing before distribution. If you distribute Practical SeisX in part, instructions for obtaining the complete version of this manual must be included, and a means for obtaining a complete version provided. Small portions may be reproduced as illustrations for reviews or quotes in other works without this permission notice if proper citation is given. Exceptions to these rules may be granted for academic purposes: Write to the author and ask. These restrictions are here to protect us as authors, not to restrict you as educators and learners.

This web site has grown from being a HOWTO support reference to SeisX to Tips and Tricks from a Geophysicist who started in this industry in 1971. During the past fifteen years I have decided to document answers when I get asked questions for a second time. This site now contains lots of good information and hundreds of Perl and awk scripts to get the work done. You will find information here that simply does not exist anywhere else. For example, how do you get Landmark to read a Zokero segy file? Landmark assumes segy files are BIG endian and now that we have moved to the Intel platform that isn't true any more. You will find the solution in the subsequent pages.

Enjoy this Web Site as an ongoing reference of "How to use SeisX".
